Today, PLP had a great time celebrating and honouring Terry Fox with a Terry Fox Run in the morning with the rest of the school, and supporting the PM Kindies along with the grade 5/6 class in the afternoon.
Along with the Terry Fox Run, we concluded learning about Terry Fox with an assembly as well as looking at the math that goes along with how old Terry Fox was compared to how old we are, how many provinces his marathon reached, and how much money he raised compared to his goal.
Continuing with our Zones lessons, we were looking at when it was expected to be in each zone. Ask your child when it is okay or expected to be in each zone.
We are finishing up our tree art project with the 5/6s and then will get out into nature to examine the trees in the playground as review and remember the differences between deciduous and coniferous.
During our morning routine, students are now being challenged to work on the months of the year if they have been doing well with the days of the week! Challenge your student to remember the days of the week in order and to practice the spelling. Short forms are also a challenge to practice!
