Today, we were continuing our zones work and thinking about different situations and how some actions in them are expected and unexpected. We will continue to match this with our zones work and think about how expected/green zone behaviors look and make others feel as well as the tools needed to change unexpected behavior to expected. Social Thinking teaches that students may be able to change their behavior when they think through a situation through social mapping. If you would like more information, please let me know.
Please consider reviewing with your child what is expected (appropriate) and unexpected (inappropriate/disruptive) in different situations such as at home, on the bus, or at school.
We have also discussed how our behavior affects others and what we can do to apologize and make things better when others are hurt or upset by our behaviour.
Today, we reviewed what makes a number even. Challenge your student to put items in groups of 2 to determine whether there is an odd one out or not!
